New Orleans, Mardi Gras Part I: When the Saints Go Marching In

All eyes are on New Orleans in the days to come, a city much stricken by grief and suffering in the past. Today, however, the city will come alive and be bustling with energy, living up to its reputation. Consider it Part I of the debauchery that is Mardi Gras.

At 5 p.m., the New Orleans Saints will be welcomed by cheering locals and fans from all over the Nation for their successful and much deserved victory over the Indianapolis Colts at this year’s Superbowl held in Miami. Mardi Gras’ debauchery is not scheduled for another week, however, today’s win-or lose Parade will kick-off incessant celebrations leading up to Mardi Gras’ (Fat Tuesday) on Feb 16th, 2010!
