Although you will most likely not be entirely focused on taking in the wide array of sightseeing –  from the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, to the Tower Bridge, to the  Canary Wharf, to the Houses of Parliament and finally Buckingham Palace, you will surely enjoy this adrenaline packed event, as a runner and observer!

If you’re not partaking in this race, you will not want to miss the large crowds that line the track, cheering on several thousands athletes as they make their way to the finish line!

This major marathon has been in existence for 30 years now. Co-founded by John Disley and the late Chris Brasher in 1981, it comes to no surprise that the first talks of introducing a New York inspired marathon in London originated in a bar over several pints of beer.

Europeans sure know how to mix it up: being a well-known drinking culture, Europeans are also a very health conscious folk who love to explore nature and be active.
